Heart Disease and Dietary Fat
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Coronary heart disease is a common type of heart disease and effects about 1 in 20 adults and happens when someone’s blood to travel to the heart is affected negatively. While heart disease is a serious topic, there are steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of developing heart disease and one of those ways is through consuming dietary fats.
Adding dietary fats to our diet is an excellent way to begin the road to reducing this risk. While consuming fats is crucial for the overall function of the human body, not all fats are created equal. In this article you will read about the difference between healthy and unhealthy fats. You will also read and learn about different food sources to get dietary fat from, and simple swaps that can be made!
